Passions: My greatest passion is helping others. It is what led me to mentor freshman students at my university. This passion plays out in the work I do for Indiana University, processing grants and reimbursement for student organizations. In that role, while it provides experiences to my technical skills, it also helps students advance causes important to them, and helps student organizations achieve their goals by removing financial strains. This passion is also what has driven my career goals and the work I’m doing here at DEFENDERS.

Favorite place you’ve traveled: I had the privilege to travel to France several years ago and visit several major cities and travel along the countryside. Of the places I visited, Tours was my favorite. It balanced the city environment with a quiet, small-town feel. The architecture was beautiful, and the residents were delightful.

If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be and why? If I could have dinner with anyone in the world, it would be Michelle Obama. I would love the opportunity to discuss her background, experience as an attorney, what adjustment to Washington, D.C. was like, as well as her motivation and techniques in motivating and influencing others.

What’s your favorite thing about working at DEFENDERS? The energy and excitement brought in by those who work at DEFENDERS is incredible; it’s exciting to come to work and experience the momentum that others bring, as well as the encouragement that everyone provides. This type of environment is what fosters success and innovation.

What kind of projects are you working on this summer? I have several projects this summer, some of which include: retention of field employees, ADA compliance, and workplace behavior training.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In 10 years, my goal is to be licensed by the American Bar Association to practice law; more specifically, as a corporate attorney. By that time, I would like to be in the process of advancing my career in terms of experience. I will, hopefully, have purchased my first home by then as well.

Lastly, take a SELFIE with your manager!
